Simon and Mary have just launched the it-hat of the summer.
In anticipation of sunshiny days ahead, Simon and Mary have launched their own adaptation of a towelling bucket hat, also known as iSpoti in South Africa. “Towelling bucket hats are a South African staple,” founder Dean Pozniak says. The new addition to the Simon and Mary family is made from towelling fabric and finished with a cotton twill underbrim matching the shoelace chinstrap, with a branded brass toggle for adjusting as well as the signature Simon and Mary ingot. The hats come in five striking colour combos: sky blue and royal blue, pink and black, lime and orange, red and yellow, white and orange – sure to turn heads in the city or at the coast.

The campaign by long-time collaborators Jana and Koos, was produced by Disco Creatives with creative direction and photography by Luke Bell Doman and styling by Salik Harris. Each hat is worn against a different printed backdrop – a balmy pink sunset or a steaming zebra crossing – shot around South Africa.

The range is available now at The Space, Partisan, Superbalist and Duck Duck Goose.
The range will be available at Shesha and Simon and Mary’s online store from November.
